Fresh turmeric roots are broken into pieces, naturally dried and then ground to make natural turmeric powder. The first ground batch of turmeric powder undergo sieving process, in which the leftovers are ground again into fine powder. Not all turmeric powder have same color, because of the variety of turmeric roots used. The natural turmeric powder is mainly used as an ingredient in curries as well as curry powder. Adding this powder into dishes is also beneficial, as one gets nutrients, like protein, carbohydrates, fiber, manganese, iron, potassium and vitamin C.
